A very simple French style surround in the Queens Arms at Corton Denham. Rupert and Victoria called us out to take a look as soon as they purchased the public house. The original fireplace was basically a large red brick hole with a brick arch going over it. Ideas were discussed and the simple lines were taken from our portfolio of other work. The under hearth log store was put in to allow extra floor space and to give customers the opportunity to feed the fire as they enjoyed the now glorious interior and the gorgeous food and local beers. The stone is Hartham Park Bath stone including the shelf and chamber sides.
